Aigine Blanc is a French white natural wine that is also fully certified organic, and is made from 65% Ugni Blanc and 35% Vermentino. Old vines, currently in conversion to organic farming, are carefully harvested by hand by dedicated men and women who strive for craftsmanship. With a modest yield of 45 hectolitres per hectare, the 2022 vintage promises exceptional quality.
In the cellar, the wine undergoes natural fermentation without any additives. Indigenous yeasts are given room to do their work. Vinification and ageing take place mainly in stainless steel tanks, while 20% of the wine is entrusted to 5- to 6-year-old barrels.
At bottling, the wine is left unfiltered, without clarification, with just a hint of SO2. The result of the work of two young, passionate winemakers, this wine allows the terroir to reveal its true potential. With an alcohol content of 12.5% vol.
A golden colour reveals itself in the glass, with a nose of fine woody white flesh. This wine combines tension, length on the palate and aromatic complexity, with notes of white flesh, flowers and a subtle brioche note at the end. The finish is characterised by wonderful bitter notes, typical of our terroir.
