Aigine Rosé is a French natural wine that is also fully certified organic. The grape blend consists of 60% Ugni Blanc, 30% Grenache de saigné, and 10% Merlot, sourced from old vines gradually transitioning to organic farming and carefully harvested by hand. The soil, a combination of sandy loam and limestone cobbles, contributes to this wine's unique characteristics.
The 2022 vintage unfolds in the cellar, where natural fermentation takes place without any additives. The indigenous yeasts are given room to do their work. Vinification and ageing take place mainly in stainless steel vats, with a subtle 15% portion entrusted to oak barrels. The entire process takes place without the use of sulphur dioxide, and at bottling, nature is once again given free rein. The wine undergoes no clarification or filtration, with only a homeopathic dose of SO2.
This wine is the result of the craftsmanship of two passionate young winemakers, giving the terroir room to reveal its potential. With an alcohol content of 13.5% vol, Aigine Rosé presents itself with a light colour and purple nuances. The fresh nose reveals small citrus fruits. This rosé brings tension, finesse and flavour, characterised by a nice bitterness in the finish. An atypical rosé because of its blend, perfect for summer aperitifs but also appropriate at the dinner table.
