The 'Avremo' Alta Langa DOCG is a white sparkling wine made from 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay that is perfect for drinking as an aperitif.
The vines for this sparkling wine are located in Mango, Diano d'Alba in the upper part of the Alta Langa. Harvest of the grapes for this wine starts in mid-August and continues until early September. The grapes are picked by hand after which the grapes are left to rest at chilled temperature for several days. The grapes are then gently pressed and the first fermentation begins at again a controlled temperature in steel vats. About 1/3rd of the grapes are then placed in oak barrels after which the wine is clarified and filtered around February. The wine is then fermented and aged in bottle for a further 30 months.
The wine has a straw yellow colour and has distinct aromas of green apple and citrus. This wine is balanced and persistent with a creamy bubble that finishes refreshingly
.
