The 'Balente' Isola Dei Nuraghi IGT is a red wine made from local grape variety Bovale and Cannonau that is best drunk with red meats and mature cheeses.
The wine has a vibrant ruby colour with an intense bouquet of red fruit, floral notes and Mediterranean spice on the nose. On the palate, the wine gives a robust experience with present tannins and pleasant acidity. The grapes are harvested manually in the first week of October. The vines are as much as 80 years old and are on the sunniest part of the Mandrolisai. After harvesting, vinification, maceration and fermentation take place at a controlled temperature of 25 degrees after which the wine is cold-bottled and aged in bottle for 1 year.
