Product description
The 'Bandita IGP' Marche Rossois a red of made from the three main grape varieties from Mazzola's vineyards: Montepulciano, Sangiovese and Lacrima di Morro d'Alba. Mazzola's idea was to rediscover and appreciate an ancient tradition by merging the best of these three grape varieties into one wine, using new technological solutions and the will to create a wine with an international flavour.
At Mazzola, grapes are harvested by hand at different times and vinified respecting the specific characteristics of all three grapes to capture the essence of each. After fermentation and an initial period of separate maturation, the three wines are blended together to continue their evolution into a single blend for at least two years. The final step is maturation in bottle.
The grapes for Bandita come from the vineyard "Fontenuovo," located in the municipality of Senigallia (AN). The vineyard has clay and limestone soils and uses the Guyot training system, with 4600 plants per hectare and a maximum yield of 1.2 kg per vine. Harvesting takes place in late September to early October, exclusively by hand in Mazzola's oldest vineyard, with the grapes collected in crates.
For vinification, Mazzola uses cold maceration to extract aromas and colour, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, using indigenous yeasts. Aging lasts 36 months in stainless steel tanks on fine lees, with continuous bâtonnage to enrich the wine. The wine is then refined in bottle for 12 months.
Bandita has an alcohol content of 13.50% and is bottled in 750ml bottles. With this wine, Mazzola aims to reflect the essence of their vineyards and the rich tradition of their region, while also conveying modern elegance and international allure.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
