For many, this dry garnet red wine, born from Nebbiolo grapes, is the younger brother of the Barolo. Canonica's Barbaresco is an intense, full-bodied, elegant wine characterised by tones of plums, red roses, cinnamon and nutmeg.
This Barbaresco by Canonica has matured for at least 3 years in oak barrels. The flavour is dry, full-bodied, soft and decidedly harmonious.
The intense flavour is enriched by decanting the wine 2-3 hours before serving. Use large glasses to oxygenate the aromas of this great Piedmontese red and open up the flavours.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
