Product description
This Barbera d'Asti DOCG is an expressive and balanced wine, made from 100% Barbera grapes. The vineyards are located on a south-western slope on calcareous soils, providing ideal conditions for optimal ripening. The grapes are harvested by hand in the second and third weeks of September and carefully selected. After harvesting, a traditional vinification follows, with skin soaking for 8 to 12 days at a controlled temperature of 26-27°C, with regular remontage to extract structure and aromas. The wine then matures for 8-10 months in stainless steel tanks and refines in bottle for several more months.
The wine has a deep ruby colour with violet reflections and a pronounced fruity aroma with notes of ripe red berries. On the palate, it is dry and harmonious, with lively acidity and a firm but supple structure. The combination of freshness and body makes this Barbera both accessible and full of character, perfect for lovers of an authentic, young red wine.
With an alcohol content of 13-14%, this wine is best enjoyed at a serving temperature of 18-20°C. It is a versatile companion to dishes such as cheese, pasta and meat dishes. Thanks to its balance and structure, it has a storage potential of 5-7 years, during which it will continue to develop and deepen its complexity.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
