The Barbera d'Asti DOCG Superiore is a red wine made from Barbera that pairs well with game, red meat and mature cheeses.
The wine has a garnet-red colour with intensely spicy aromas on the nose. The wine's wood aging makes it a harmonious and balanced wine. The grapes are destemmed after they are picked and gently pressed before maceration and adjoining fermentation take place. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is fermented a second time but this time malolactically to further mature the wine. The wine is then decanted into wooden barrels where it will be aged for 12 to 14 months before being bottled.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
