Product description
This Barolo comes from the historic cru Cerretta in Serralunga d'Alba, a vineyard recognized since 2015 as one of the most important MGAs of this prestigious area. The combination of marl and sand soils, a marked presence of limestone and an iron-rich structure, together with the excellent south and southeast sun exposure, creates a powerful and layered wine with impressive complexity.
With extreme care in the vineyard and precise vinification, this Barolo matures for 30 months in French oak barrels, followed by another six months in bottle. The result is a wine of deep intensity and personality, in which aromas of red fruit merge with floral notes of rose and violets, complemented by hints of mint and rhubarb.
In the glass, the wine shows an intense ruby color with subtle orange reflections. The aroma is ethereal and refined, with delicate notes of dried roses and a slight nuance of underbrush, giving the wine a harmonious and complete expression. On the palate, it is powerful and structured, with firm but balanced tannins that ensure longevity in the bottle. This Barolo has tremendous aging potential and can be aged for up to 20 years.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
