Our Dolcetto d'Asti is a refined red wine that expresses the pure character of the Dolcetto grape. This wine is produced in the municipality of Castel Boglione, where the vines, with an average age of 40 years, thrive at an altitude of 420 meters above sea level on an eastern slope. Thanks to this ideal location and careful manual harvesting, the wine retains its fresh, fruity character.
Vinification takes place with extreme precision: after destemming and crushing the grapes, fermentation follows at a controlled temperature of 24-26°C. The maceration with the skins lasts 15 to 20 days, through which the wine develops its deep color and complex aromas. It is then aged for 8 to 10 months in cement tanks, which enhances its fruity and balanced structure.
With an alcohol content of 13.5%, this Dolcetto d'Asti offers a supple, accessible taste that comes into its own both in summer and winter. Lightly chilled, it is perfect with summer appetizers, while at room temperature it pairs excellently with meat and white meat entrees. Serve it at 14-16 °C in a medium-sized glass with a narrow rim, so that its aromas are shown to their best advantage. An elegant and versatile wine for any occasion.
