Product description
Features: Obtained from Nebbiolo grapes, locally called "Chiavennasca", from local grapes such as Pignola and Rossola. This wine is a tribute to grandfather Piero, who made it many years ago in the cellar of his hut in Val Belviso at 1380 mt. According to the rules of the Valtellina Superiore Docg denomination, it must age for a minimum of 24 months, of which at least 12 must be in oak barrels before being released on the market. Yield: ~70 q.li/Ha Vineyards: Hills on the Rhaetian side of the Alps, from east to west, with southern orientation, at an altitude between 390 and 600 m. Near the town of Teglio. Maturation: 12 months in oak barrels, then in stainless steel tanks. Staining temperature: 18°C. Aging potential: Medium-aged wine: 6-7 years
