The Blanc de Blancs Catarratto Terre Siciliane IGP is a sparkling wine by the classic method, born from the visionary work of the winemakers who revived an old Catarratto vineyard at 650 metres altitude in the Alcamo region in 2020. Surrounded by pine and oak forests and situated on calcareous soil, this vineyard offers a perfect terroir for the Catarratto grape. The grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed in early September, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks. After aging for six months, the wine undergoes a second fermentation in bottle, followed by an extended aging of at least 24 months on the lie, which gives the Blanc de Blancs its complex structure and refined mousse.
This Brut Nature, without dosage, offers a pure and expressive taste experience that stays true to the Catarratto character. With refreshing citrus and subtle notes, this wine lends itself perfectly as an accompaniment to seafood or as a refined aperitif. The natural and spontaneous fermentation highlights the fresh, mineral qualities of the Catarratto grape and the terroir. Served at 10-12 degrees and with an alcohol content of 12.5%, the wine reveals a lively freshness that reflects the unique character of the Sicilian plateau.
