The 'Cagnulari' Isola dei Nuraghi IGT is a warm, full-bodied, fruity red wine made from 100% Cagnulari and goes best with lamb and pork.
Cagnulari is an Isola dei Nuraghi IGT, a red wine made from Cagnulari grapes with Mediterranean aromas. Cagnulari is best when served between 16 and 18°C and paired with lamb, goat and Sardinian suckling pig.
This ruby red wine has delicate Mediterranean spicy aromas on the nose with warm, full-bodied and fruity flavours on the palate. This wine is best drunk between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, this wine can age for more than five to six years, provided it is stored properly.
Cagnulari is the most typical indigenous grape variety of the Sassarian territory. It is difficult to grow and vinify and is often called the Cabernet of Sardinia for its spicy notes, which are unique compared to Cabernet, especially in this area. They vinify in steel tanks to preserve the maximum naturalness of this grape variety.
