Product description
The name "Falanghina" comes from the Latin word "phalange", meaning "tied to a pole", referring to the wooden stakes that have traditionally supported this grape variety. It’s also said that Falanghina is a descendant of Falerno Bianco, an ancient white wine from Campania, known since the days of the ancient Romans. This wine carries a rich history, a legacy you can taste in its special flavor.
With its straw-yellow color, the Falanghina has a soft, welcoming glow. The scent is varied and enchanting: strong fruity and floral notes mix with gentle spicy hints and a touch of minerality. It’s an aroma that sparks curiosity and excites the senses, promising the freshness and depth this wine brings.
On the tongue, the Falanghina is lively and fresh, with clear minerality and a lasting taste. Its light acidity makes it great to drink right away, but also allows it to age well over time. It’s perfect as an aperitif or with seafood, while the more complex, long-aged versions pair beautifully with white meat dishes. Serve it best between 10 and 12 °C and enjoy its balanced 12.5% alcohol content.
