The 'Campo de Massi' Rosso DOC is a red wine made from 100% Merlot and is perfect with an extensive appetiser.
The wine has an intense ruby red colour and has slightly spicy aromas. The identifiable aromas are those of red fruits, cherries and Umbrian spices. The mouthfeel is firm with slightly sweet tannins that give the wine an extra softness. It is accessible wine that will not look out of place with almost any course. The vines are planted on limestone using the guyot method. The grapes are picked manually and, after pressing, the wine is macerated for 16 days with shingling. Then, 2/3rds of the juice is placed in French oak barrels while the other part is further aged in steel vats. The wine has an alcohol content of 14% and is best enjoyed at a temperature of 16°C.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
