The 'Cartos' Brachetto d'Acqui DOCG is a remarkable wine that embodies the essence of the Acqui Terme region in Piedmont, Italy. This wine is made from Brachetto grapes carefully harvested by hand. With an alcohol content of 5.5%, a short maceration of around 24-36 hours follows on the grape skins, giving the wine its distinctive light red colour with purple reflections. Bottling takes place at the beginning of December, with a view to consumption during the holidays.
With regard to technical data, this wine is produced with the Brachetto grape variety, harvested by manual labour. The alcohol content is 5.5% vol. During the vinification process, the wine undergoes a short maceration period on the grape skins, resulting in a bright red colour with subtle garnet-red hues. Bottling of the wine takes place in early December, so it can be enjoyed at the right time during the festive season.
The organoleptic characteristics of this wine are remarkable. It presents itself with a bright red colour tending towards a light garnet red. The aroma is fruity, floral and spicy, with a remarkably intense aroma of musk and forest fruits. On the palate, it offers a clean, subtle and very lingering experience.
The recommended serving temperature for this wine is between 6 and 8 degrees Celsius. It is an excellent choice to pair with sweet dishes and fresh cut fruit, such as strawberries and peaches.
