The Cec takes its name from Francesco (which is abbreviated as Cec in the local dialect), who planted the vineyard for this Nizza in 1947. A very hearty red wine from Cascina Garitina with a nice long finish.
The "Cec", comes from a project that began long ago. From the separate harvest of three vines growing on very different soils, three Nizza wines are born, identical in soul but different in structure. The vineyard, with a silty clayey textured soil, gives this Nizza complex aromas that are enhanced by bottle ageing.
Verrassend lekker. Ik kreeg flessen uit 2016 geleverd. Stevige wijn (16%!), die even moet ademen, maar dan ook alles geeft. Voor mij een nieuw wijngebied, Nizza, maar wel een blijvertje! Aanrader!
