Product description
The 'Chasan' Blanc Terre de Camargue IGP from Mas de Rey is a well-balanced, yellow-green white wine made from 100% Chasan, a cross between Chardonnay and Listan, and is best enjoyed with seafood, sardines and grilled or prepared fish.
With a yellow green colour, the nose reveals subtle citrus (lemon) notes. The palate reveals well-balanced aromas of exotic fruit, with a hint of oiliness. The finish is fresh and lingers with a briny flavour.
Delicious with seafood, it also goes well with grilled sardines or a tuna quiche. A glass of Chasan can be served with grilled or prepared fish. A piece of brousse du Rove (fresh cheese) is perfect to finish your meal.
The Chasan is the first grape variety harvested at Mas de Rey. It is harvested in mid-August. The vines are more than 30 years old, yields are average. Harvesting is done very early in the morning to avoid exposure to light and heat. After harvesting, the grapes are chilled. The tanks are inert before the juice is received by direct pressing. Vinification and ageing take place in temperature-controlled stainless steel and concrete tanks.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
