The 'Chiara' Sangiovese Toscana IGT 2017 is a red wine made from 100% Sangiovese that goes perfectly with a drink board but also the heartier main dishes.
The grapes come from Fauglia's best located vineyard in the beautiful rolling hills surrounding Pisa. The harvest is done manually after which the skinned grapes are placed in steel tanks for 15 to 25 days. Once fermentation has taken place, the wine is placed in French oak barrels to fully bring out the tannins of the Sangiovese. The wine is then unfiltered.
The wine has a ruby red colour and is a beautiful expression of the sangiovese grape with complex aromas. On the nose, the wine gives hints of cherry and flowers but also light hints of liquorice, cinnamon and chocolate. On the palate, it is a balanced, supple wine and is particularly long-lasting.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
