Product description
Ciaplèn Dolcetto d'Asti DOC is a characterful red wine made from carefully selected Dolcetto grapes from Montabone. The name refers to the vineyard's unique soil, rich in marble fragments, known locally as Ciaplèn. This dry and not very fertile soil naturally limits the vines' yields and produces grapes of exceptional quality.
Harvesting takes place in the second half of September, followed by traditional red vinification. Moderate maceration on the skins gives the wine structure, deep colour and pleasant tannic richness. After fermentation, the wine matures in stainless steel tanks and is bottled in early summer. It then rests in bottle for another 6-8 months, which further refines its balance and complexity.
The result is a dry and harmonious wine with a balanced tannic structure and an intense ruby red colour with purple reflections. Ciaplèn is a versatile and accessible wine, ideal to enjoy daily with a variety of dishes. The optimal drinking period is from 2025 to 2028, served at a temperature of 14-16°C.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
