Product description
The earliest mention of the Coda di Volpe grape comes from Pliny the Elder, who wrote about “caudas vulpium” – meaning “fox tails” – in Book XIV of his Naturalis Historia. The name of this grape variety comes from the curved shape at the top of the cluster, resembling a fox’s tail. This historical touch gives the wine a special charm, as if each sip carries a bit of ancient Roman wisdom.
The Coda di Volpe has a straw-yellow color with golden reflections that catch the light beautifully. Its scent is fine and intense, blending fruity and floral notes that gently wrap around the senses. It’s an aroma that feels elegant and invites you to explore the subtle layers this wine has to offer.
On the tongue, this wine is light and pleasant, perfectly balanced with its freshness and delicate flavors. With an alcohol content of 12.5%, it’s great for those who enjoy a simple yet tasty experience. It pairs wonderfully with light dishes and fish recipes, enhancing the meal with its finesse. Serve it chilled between 10 and 12 °C for the best enjoyment.
