The 'Codirosso' Verduzzo DOC Piave is a white wine made from Verduzzo Trevigiano grapes that goes best with a sumptuous appetiser board with charcuterie and lighter cheeses.
The wine has an intense yellow colour with aromas on the nose ranging from distinctly floral to pleasant notes of candied fruit. It is a complex versatile wine. The mouthfeel is soft, enveloping with a pleasant slightly bitter finish. The complexity also makes the wine go well with fish dishes or distinct dishes with intense flavours. The wine is a dedication to a temporary inhabitant of Ca' Peruzzetto, the Codiross Spazzacamino, a migratory bird that stays at the manor in autumn.
In the wine cellar, CODIROSSO undergoes gentle pressing of destemmed grapes and fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 21°C. The wine then matures in stainless steel tanks. Bottling took place on 22 April 2022, producing 605 0.75-litre bottles. The recommended serving temperature is between 16-18°C.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
