Product description
Our Cortese dell'Alto Monferrato DOC is a refined white wine that perfectly reflects the elegance and freshness of the Cortese grape. The grapes are harvested by hand in small baskets, carefully selected and then gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, which preserves the wine's pure and delicate aromas. A small portion of the grapes undergo a skin soaking of about 25 days, which adds additional structure and complexity. After final blending, the wine matures for another month on lees before it is usually bottled by Christmas.
This wine comes from the hilly vineyards of Castel Boglione and Calamandrana, located at altitudes between 380 and 450 meters. East and northwest exposure contributes to the wine's freshness and minerality. With an alcohol content of 12.5% and a delicate balance of fruity and floral notes, this wine offers an elegant and refreshing drinking experience.
Perfect as an aperitif and an excellent companion to subtle fish dishes, such as sea bass baked in foil. Serve the wine chilled at 8-10°C in a medium tulip-shaped glass to maximize its aromas. Experience the pure expression of Cortese, vinified with care and passion.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
