The Barbera d'Asti DOCG from Matteo Poggio is a deep red wine that reflects the essence of the Italian wine landscape. This refined wine is made from 100% Barbera grapes, which are hand-picked to ensure quality.
The grapes come from 35-year-old vines located at an altitude of 400 meters in Castel Boglione. This unique terroir contributes to the wine's distinctive characteristics. After destemming and crushing, fermentation occurs without temperature control. The wine ages for 10-12 months in cement tanks and then for another 4 months in the bottle.
With an alcohol content of 13.50% vol and an intense ruby red color, this Barbera d'Asti offers a versatile taste experience. It is the ideal companion for rustic starters, rich meat dishes, and medium-aged cheeses. Serve at 18-20°C in a large glass to fully enjoy the complex aromas.
