The 'Deidesheimer' Riesling Trocken Ortswein is a characterful wine that elegantly reflects the terroir of the Deidesheimer Herrgottsacker. This Pfalz vineyard is known for its warm and layered buntsandstein processing soil, which ensures perfect ripening of the grapes and a wine with depth, power and finesse.
The white Riesling, considered one of the most noble grape varieties in the world, shows its true nature here. The grapes were harvested manually when golden yellow and optimally ripe. In the cellar, gentle pressing and natural fermentation followed in the historic vaulted cellar system. The wine was then raised partly in large wooden barrels, partly in stainless steel tanks - both on fine yeast - which added structure and elegance.
In the glass, this Ortswein presents itself with an expressive nose of stone fruit such as peach and apricot, subtly complemented by notes of exotic fruit and a distinctive mineral touch. The palate is powerful but remains tight and refined, with a long, slightly salty finish and plenty of tension.
This Riesling is perfectly gastronomic. Think grilled fish, ceviche, Asian dishes with ginger or lime, or even a rich salad with goat cheese and nuts. At 12% alcohol, it is accessible and elegant, but with enough complexity for the true wine lover. A paragon of terroir and craftsmanship - typical Palatinate, typical Riesling.
