For Trentino's winemakers, the Nosiola grape is much more than a variety: it is a symbol of their culture, identity and character. As the only indigenous white grape grown in the region today, Nosiola is loved for its complex and characterful nature. In the Valle dei Laghi, an area that enjoys a mild and well-ventilated climate, this grape finds its ideal environment. Here, its unique personality is fully expressed and forms an essential part of the local heritage.
'Folada' is the result of this deep connection between grape and terroir. This white wine made from 100% Nosiola exudes a subtle complexity. In the glass, it shows a straw yellow with green reflections. In the nose, delicate aromas of apricot and elderflower emerge, while the palate unfolds with a distinctive bitterness, notes of hazelnut and almond. This interplay creates a refined and authentic wine experience that reflects the soul of Trentino.
After vinification, Folada matures for 7-8 months in stainless steel tanks, followed by bottle aging for another 3-4 months. Thanks to its low residual sugar level of just 2 g/L and refreshing acidity, this wine remains wonderfully dry and lively. Folada is thus a tribute to the Nosiola and an invitation to discover the depth and elegance of this special grape.
