Product description
The Frappato IGT Terre Siciliane is a red wine made from 100% Frappato that goes beautifully with light fish and meat dishes. This wine comes from Sicily and has a geographical indication. It comes from the province of Trapani, mainly from Salemi and Mazara del Vallo in a Mediterranean climate with mild winters, limited rainfall and a very warm, well-ventilated summer. The vineyards are located a few metres above sea level and have soils of medium composition, mainly sandy with a slight clayey texture. The grapes are harvested by machine, which is the harvesting method for this wine. The grape variety used is Frappato. Vinification follows traditional methods with prolonged maceration at controlled temperatures. The alcohol content is 12.50% vol. The wine has a ruby red colour and an intense aroma with hints of red fruit. The taste is spicy and harmonious, with a medium structure. It goes well with white meat-based dishes as well as delicate red meat and oily fish. For serving, a medium-sized wine glass is recommended, and the wine can be drunk immediately after opening, at a temperature between 16°C and 18°C. It is ideal to keep this wine at a constant temperature of 16°C, with controlled light.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
