Discover the refinement of Freisa d'Asti DOC, an exclusive wine made from 100% Freisa grapes from Castel Boglione. This particular grape variety has been known since 1500 and shares some characteristics with the famous Nebbiolo. Yet the Freisa remains unique, partly because it is grown only in a small area of 700 hectares around Piedmont. The grapes are harvested by hand between the third week of September and the first week of October, ensuring optimal ripeness and quality. After harvest, the wine matures for two years in stainless steel tanks and then six months in bottle, creating a harmonious flavor development.
The Freisa d'Asti DOC has a beautiful ruby red color with subtle garnet hues. On the nose, delicate, fruity aromas of raspberries and berries emerge, complemented by pleasant, musky nuances that intensify with age. On the palate, the wine offers an elegant and complex taste experience, with a nice balance between structure and softness. The velvety tannins and respectable body make each sip a refined experience.
