The 'Pret en Bulles' Millésime - Vin Pétillant d'Exception is an organic sparkling white wine made from 100% Chardonnay that is perfect as an aperitif or to accompany festive meals.
The vineyard covers an area of 54 hectares with a soil of boulène and sandy loam, which is ideal for growing Chardonnay. The average age of the vines is 35 years, guaranteeing superior quality of the grapes.
It is a wine made using the traditional Champenoise method: the first fermentation takes place in a tank, followed by a second fermentation in the bottle. The grapes are m pneumatically pressed and clarified at 6 degrees celcius after which there is further maceration on fine lees. Part of the wine is aged in French oak barrels which gives a nice complexity and depth to this special wine.
On the nose, the wine has pleasant notes of white peach, pear and citrus. On the palate, the wine is fresh, balanced with good aromatic persistence in the finish.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
