The 'Gaia' Merlot Toscana IGT 2017 is a red wine made from 100% merlot that goes perfectly with pasta al ragut, white meat and medium-aged cheeses.
The grapes for the 'Gaia' are picked manually after which vinification takes place in steel tanks where the grape skin is retained for 15 days. After complete fermentation, the wine is moved into French oak barrels. The wine is then not filtered.
The wine has an intense red colour with hints of cherry, forest fruits and slightly sweet spices on the nose. It is a smooth and balanced wine appropriate with a wide range of dishes.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
