Product description
The Dolcetto from Abrigo has good acidity, the flavour supports the very soft and persistent finish. The Garabei has great ageing potential. With age, it loses its purplish characteristics and is enriched with notes of undergrowth and earth. It evolves perfectly in the 5 years after harvest, in the best years it is in excellent condition even 10 years after ageing.
Desirable with aged hams, hard cheeses, stuffed pasta, grilled vegetables and light main courses.
Vine: 100% Dolcetto Location: "Garabei" is the name of the company's oldest vineyard, located within the Supplementary Geographical Indication (MGA) Sorì dei Crava. The vines are over 50 years old and composed of different rootstocks, giving the Garabei an innate complexity. It is undoubtedly Abrigo's most valuable vineyard. Located on a very steep hill, the soil is poor and dry, shallow, calcareous, characterised by layers of more or less compact sand interspersed with grey sandstones (sand compacted and cemented by carbonates from seawater) called Arenarie di Diano. Facing south, south-west. Altitude: 350 m above sea level. Harvest: Manual, carried out in crates, mid-September, at full phenolic ripeness. Aging: by concrete tanks until the summer after harvest combined with natural decantation and stabilisation. Bottled in August and aged in bottle for at least six months before being sold on the market.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
