Product description
Ghè Barolo Riserva DOCG is a wine of exceptional class, from the Cerretta vineyard in the prestigious Serralunga d'Alba wine region. The vines are located on a south-facing spur of 3,500 meters, where a special Nebbiolo clone, called michet, is planted. These grapes are known for their small berries with a high concentration of polyphenols, resulting in a wine with impressive complexity and structure.
Aging takes place in French oak barrels for 30 months, followed by another 30 months of bottle aging before the wine is classified as a Riserva. This lengthy process creates a refined balance between power and elegance. Ghè is undoubtedly the most aristocratic and structured Barolo within the range.
With its deep ruby color and complex aromas of spice, leather and tobacco, complemented by subtle floral notes of roses and violets, this wine offers an extraordinary sensory experience. The palate is dry and powerful, with firm but refined tannins and a long, lingering finish. The limited production of only 800 to 1,000 bottles, packed in wooden cases, makes this Barolo Riserva a true rarity for the true wine lover.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
