Mazzola's 'GlaRus' IGP Marche Bianco Verdicchio is made from 100% Verdicchio grapes and goes perfectly with seafood.
GlaRus is the maximum expression of the Verdicchio 100% with its perfumes with the sea. Verdicchio's Mazzola vineyard is just 1,000 metres from the Adriatic Sea. A gentle breeze constantly blows on our vines, bringing scents of the sea directly onto the bunches of grapes.
Thanks to the ganimede vinification method, Mazzola is able to fully capture all the aromaticity of the wine sea breeze gives to our grapes.
The vinification method is rounded off by controlled-temperature fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The bâtonnages to the fine lees enrich the personality of a Verdicchio contained herein way a new dimension of quality.
The scents of the sea, of wet rocks by the waves, of sea salt and of lots of ripe yellow-fleshed fruit, the aromatic herbs of the coast and intrinsic characteristics of the white grapes. They are the classic structure and acidity of the Verdicchio that make it possible to obtain a good wine that can evolve for a long time without losing its freshness and acquire great complexity and balance in a fine bouquet of sea and land.
