Glou Glou was born out of the winemakers' desire to create a light, summery red wine-a wine that is easy to drink and differs from heavy oak-aged wines with high alcohol and tannins. In 2016, they planted Nerello Mascalese in Monreale, curious to see how this grape would develop outside Etna. The result is a wine with a refreshing, lively taste and bright notes of red fruit, perfect for a relaxing moment and ideal to drink lightly chilled on hot days.
With a short 2-3-day skin soak, and fermentation and aging in stainless steel, Glou Glou retains its fresh and fruity character. This makes the wine versatile as an aperitif, as well as an accompaniment to pizza and spicy dishes. With an alcohol content of 11.5% and a light, fruity style, Glou Glou is a refreshing choice that lets the summery side of Nerello Mascalese shine through.
