The Grauburgunder Trocken 2023 from Furst Hohenlohe Oehringen is an organic, aromatic white wine made from 100% Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris).
The Grauburgunder 2023 sparkles in the glass with a light, yellowish hue and immediately entices with the aroma of juicy peaches. On the palate, the wine offers a lively combination of peach, green apple and subtle notes of quince. The long, aromatic finish is characterized by a fine melt and a pleasant acid balance, providing a harmonious taste experience. The wine is fully raised in stainless steel tanks, which maintains its freshness and clarity.
The terroir consists mainly of Gipskeuper, which contributes to the wine's unique minerality and structure. With an alcohol content of 12.5%, this Grauburgunder guarantees drinking pleasure until 2030, if served at an ideal drinking temperature of 6 to 8°C.
The 2023 vintage began with extreme drought, which posed a challenge to viticulture. However, this was followed by heavy rainfall, after which a warm Indian summer balanced the grapes. These changing weather conditions resulted in a beautifully balanced wine with rich, aromatic depth.
