Product description
The Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore I Patriarchi is a full-bodied, aromatic red wine with a rich palette of aromas and flavors. The pronounced fruity notes in the nose are beautifully supported by a firm structure and lively acidity, providing a perfect balance between body and drinkability. Produced exclusively in exceptional vintage years, this wine comes from carefully selected grapes from the renowned Fausoni and San Cristoforo vineyards in Neive.
After a manual harvest in October, the wine undergoes traditional fermentation with maceration for 8 to 10 days. It then ages for at least 12 months in wooden barrels and French oak barriques, giving it extra depth and refinement. The wine reaches its optimal drinking moment between two and six years after harvest and is best enjoyed at a serving temperature of 16-18°C.
Thanks to its versatility, the Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore I Patriarchi is the ideal companion to savory appetizers, traditional pasta dishes, flavorful meat dishes and aged, aged cheeses. Its balanced character and rich aromas make it an excellent choice for lovers of refined and characterful red wines.
