The 'In Senio H.A.D.E.S.' Trocken 2016 - Treasure Wine is an intense ruby red wine of high viscosity, full of complexity and power. Clear toasted wood notes emerge in the nose, reminiscent of strong Arabica coffee. The tannins are still strongly present, making decanting the wine necessary for an optimal drinking experience. However, the great potential of this wine only comes to its full potential after several years of aging in bottle.
This wine comes from the best parcels of the Verrenberger Verrenberg monopoly site and is fully aged in barriques, two-thirds of which were used for the first time. This refined vinification creates an elegant yet powerful structure.
With an alcohol content of 14.0%, this wine promises drinking pleasure until 2040 and is best enjoyed at a drinking temperature of 18°C. The cuvée is composed of 55% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The result is a rich, robust wine with a nice balance of fruity notes and wood influences.
This wine has already received recognition with 17 out of 20 points from Vinum, which praised the distinctive berry aroma and elegant wood notes, as well as the wine's depth. Falstaff gave the wine 91+ points, describing it as juicy, with energetic freshness, gently structured tannins and a smoky, fruity nose.
