Product description
The Insolia IGT Terre Siciliane is a white wine made from 100% Insolia that should be drunk mainly with fish dishes and seafood. This wine has the classification Indicazione Geografica Protetta and comes from the province of Trapani, with vineyards in Marsala and Mazara del Vallo. The area has a Mediterranean climate with mild winters, low rainfall and a very warm, well-ventilated summer. The vineyards are located a few metres above sea level and have medium-density soils consisting mainly of sandy and slightly clayey components. The grapes are harvested by hand and this wine is made from the Insolia grape variety. Vinification follows traditional methods, with white winemaking by gentle pressing and fermentation at controlled temperatures. With an alcohol content of 12% vol, the wine shows a pale straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. The aroma is subtle and floral. The taste is dry, soft and of medium structure. This wine is excellent as an aperitif and goes well with fish and white meat-based dishes. It is recommended to serve this wine in a tulip glass at a temperature of 8°C. To best preserve the wine, a constant temperature of 16°C is required, with controlled light conditions.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
