Jobastre Blanc is a French white natural wine that is also fully certified organic, and is made from 80% Grenache Noir and Blanc de Noir, supplemented by 20% Ugni-Vermentino. The wine is produced on vineyards where old vines are currently being converted to organic farming, with careful manual harvesting by dedicated men and women. With a moderate yield of 40 hectolitres per hectare for the 2022 vintage, this wine promises exceptional quality.
In the cellar, the wine undergoes natural fermentation without any additives, with indigenous yeasts given free rein. Vinification and aging take place mainly in stainless steel tanks, with 10% of the wine vinified and aged in barrels of 5 to 6 wines. At bottling, the wine is left unfiltered, without clarification, and only a minimal dose of SO2 is added. This wine is the result of the passionate work of two young winemakers, allowing the terroir to reveal its true potential.
With an alcohol content of 13% vol, this wine presents itself with a pale colour in which subtle pink hues can be recognised, characteristic of Blanc de Noir. The lively nose reveals notes of white fruit, with the underripe Grenache Noir providing a refreshing character. The finish features the typical bitterness that characterises these wines, resulting in a fresh and elegant wine that invites to be shared.
