Product description
The JS Pons Blanc is an organic white wine made from Grenache Blanc, Macabeu and Roussane that goes perfectly with fish dishes, poultry and mushrooms.
The JS Pons Blanc, an exquisite wine from the Côtes-du-Roussillon region, has an alcohol content of 14% and is presented in a 75cl bottle. This wine has received several awards, including a silver medal from the Concours Grenache du Monde 2021 and a gold medal from the Concours des Vignerons Indépendants 2022. In addition, it received an honourable mention in the Guide Hachette des Vins 2017 and won a silver medal at Bettane & Desseauve - Prix Plaisir 2017.
The wine comes from the terroir of Aspres, located at the foot of the Pyrenees. Trouillas' terroir is characterised by loamy-clay soils with an extremely stony surface. The vineyards are sustainably managed and benefit from an excellent location on the slopes of Mas Deu and the terraces between Trouillas and Terrats. This cuvée consists of Grenache Blanc, Macabeu and Roussanne, with a production of only 4,000 bottles. The grapes are harvested early in the morning and undergo pneumatic pressing. Fermentation takes place in new oak barrels and the wine then ages for six months on the lees in both oak and acacia barrels.
On tasting, the pale golden colour stands out. The bouquet reveals aromas of white peach, complemented by subtle vanilla notes. On the palate, the wine is round and fresh, with flavours of butter and light toast, ending in a delicate mineral finish. This wine pairs perfectly with fish dishes in sauce or poultry. It also makes an ideal match with mushrooms, especially morels, and is excellent served with a good comté. The wine has a five-year storage potential and is best served between 13 and 14°C.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
