Katamacerato Catarratto Terre Siciliane IGP is the result of five years of refinement to capture the true essence of the Catarratto grape, a symbol of Alcamo. While big wineries often dilute the characteristic qualities of this grape, Katamacerato instead opts for authenticity. A seven-day maceration process creates an intensely orange wine that is rich and elegant, with firm, rustic tannins and bright freshness.
This unique wine is fully fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, highlighting its pure, unprocessed character. Katamacerato is a perfect match with strong cheeses, marinated meats and flavoursome fish dishes such as mackerel, sardines, tuna and salmon. With an alcohol content of 11.5% and serving temperature of 14-16°C, the wine offers a fascinating combination of spiciness, freshness and a tight, mineral finish that pays tribute to the rugged beauty of Alcamo.
