The "La Tia" Piedmont Brachetto secco DOC is red wine made from 100% Brachetto that goes perfectly with smoked meats such as prosciutto and hors d'oeuvres. The wine is called a penetrating ruby red colour that envelops nose with distinct hints of incense, sweet spices and the presence of fruity notes. The grapes come from 'Vigneti di Montgna' and thus from higher altitude vineyards. The geophysical location of this older vineyard gives the grapes unique characteristics that give it its full and special mouthfeel. Aged for two years in bottle, the wine has a dry persistent flavour with distinct notes of dried fruit. The name 'La Tia' comes from one ancient plant 'il Tiglio' on the estate just above the brachetto vines.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
