The 'La Tradizione' Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG is a warm, balanced red wine made from 100% Ruchè and is best enjoyed with grilled beef and game, mature cheeses and stews with vegetables.
In the idyllic surroundings of Castagnole Monferrato and Montemagno, located in the heart of Piedmont, this beautiful red wine is born. Our vineyards are tended according to the low Guyot training system, with 8-9 buds on the fruiting vine, to grow the best Ruchè grapes.
With a focus on traditional red vinification, our grapes undergo a careful process that results in a wine that speaks of craftsmanship and authenticity. After harvest, the wine matures in stainless steel tanks, where it develops its unique character.
On pouring, you see a vibrant gaudy-red colour, with light purple reflections in its youth, which change to a deeper garnet-red hue after clarification. A visual spectacle that excites the senses and holds the promise of an extraordinary taste experience.
On smelling the wine, you are greeted by an intense, persistent and aromatic aroma, in which fruity notes are at the forefront, with hints of rose petals and violets in the early years, giving way to spicy notes over time.
And then the taste - warm on the tongue, balanced, with good body and light tannins. This wine is a joy to drink, with its balanced character and intriguing flavours that make every sip a new discovery.
