Product description
The Les Terres de MasLauris Rosé is a rosé wine made from Cinsault (60%) and Grenache noir (40%) and is best drunk with light meals such as salads, grilled foods and generally with Provençal cuisine.
Les Terres de MasLauris Rosé, an organic rosé wine from the AOP Luberon, reflects the unique terroir of MasLauris with Cinsault (60%) and Grenache noir (40%).
The vineyards, located at 800 metres altitude at the foot of the Luberon, benefit from a favourable microclimate with cool nights and sunny days, with the mistral playing a crucial role in the excellent health of the grapes. This combination of factors contributes to the wine's finesse and freshness.
The organically certified vines are harvested by hand with great care, very early in the morning using a headlamp to harvest fresh grapes and preserve their integrity.
The 2022 vintage was historically hot and dry. A cold winter allowed the vine to recover its cycle of sprouting, avoiding spring frosts. Despite a noticeable lack of water after the winter, the vine started homogeneously and positively, with promising grape bunches. Spring was mild and healthy, but marked by a lack of precipitation. This spring freshness allowed the vine to thrive. Summer was very hot, with some heat waves reminiscent of 2003, and was also characterised by historically low levels of precipitation. Finally, on 15 August, thunderstorms brought relief. No hail, but welcome rain. This promoted a nice ripening of the grapes. An exceptional September with extraordinary weather enabled us to harvest at the right time.
The vinification involved careful gravity harvesting, followed by extraction of the juices by gentle and progressive pressing. Alcoholic fermentation was organically certified
.
Aging took place in stainless steel tanks, on fine lees, for 4 months. Bottling took place at the end of winter, taking into account the lunar calendar to preserve maximum aromatic potential.
With an alcohol content of 10% vol, this delicate wine presents itself with a very light pink colour. The lively aroma offers elegant notes of exotic fruits and fresh berries. On the palate, the rich aromas are balanced with nice acidity, providing freshness, liveliness and structure. The finish is tasty and expressive. Ideal as an aperitif, but also with light meals, salads, grilled food, and generally with Provençal cuisine.
