The Esprit Gaulois is an organic red wine made from 85% Négrette and 15% Cabernet Franc that pairs best with rich dishes such as game. Stews or boeuf Bourguignon.
The wine is a blend of two distinct grape varieties that together offer a unique structure with intense aromas. Aromas of peony, black fruits are enriched by vanilla and wood tones. This makes it quite a complex wine. This is partly due to the wood aging of 12 to 24 months in oak barrels. The vines are already 35 years old, giving the grapes that extra bit of character.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
