This red gem comes straight from Neive, in the beautiful Langhe region of Piedmont. Made from the Nebbiolo grape, harvested under perfect ripening conditions after a green harvest. We go for the traditional red method here, because some things you just have to keep classic, right?
After maturing for 26 months, including nine months in large barrels and French oak barrels, you get a wine that sparkles in a brilliant garnet-red colour, with those distinctive light orange reflections that are so typical after the ageing process.
When you stick your nose in, you are greeted by an ethereal and intense aroma, with notes of tobacco, spices and dried figs. Let it oxidise for a while and you'll be surprised by hints of dried fruit and jam.
But the real enjoyment comes from the taste.
