The Lustro is a white wine made from 100% Cataratto and is best drunk with starters in general, especially those with vegetables and fish. It can also be paired with pasta white meat and seafood.
Lustro is a white wine macerated on the skins of 100% Catarrato. Processing usually starts in the second week of September when the grapes have reached the desired ripeness. The selected and cut grapes are transported to the cellar, where destemming and pressing take place. Spontaneous fermentation is carried out by indigenous yeasts present in the skins, within stainless steel tanks.
In the nose, the typical aromas of Sicily are perceptible: combined and floral notes including lemon peel, bitter orange and orange blossom, with a very clear mineral undertone. Lustro has a nice drinkability, light and refreshing, with a nice touch of saltiness reminiscent of the sea, which is characteristic of almost all of the company's wines. Lustro goes well with starters in general, especially those with vegetables and fish. It can also be paired with pasta, white meat and seafood. Serving temperature: 12 °C.
