The Malvasia Liquoroso Dolce IGP Terre Siciliane is a dessert wine made from 100% Malvasia that tastes great with sweets such as pastries, biscuits and different types of chocolate.
This wine, classified under 'Indicazione Geografica Protetta', originates in the province of Trapani, with vineyards in Marsala and Mazara del Vallo. The climate is characterised by Mediterranean conditions, with mild winters, limited rainfall and a very warm and well-ventilated summer. The vineyards are located a few metres above sea level and have medium-density, slightly clayey soils. The grape harvest is carried out traditionally, by hand. This wine is made from Malvasia Bianca grapes. Vinification includes a 10-hour pellicular maceration, followed by controlled fermentation and the addition of neutral wine alcohol. A 6-month maturation in tanks is followed by further refinement in bottle. With an alcohol content of 16% vol, the wine shows a deep golden colour. The intense aroma is characterised by notes of ripe fruit. The taste is full and harmonious. This wine goes excellently with pastries and various patisseries. The recommended serving temperature is between 10°C and 12°C in a dessert glass. For optimal storage, it is recommended to keep the wine at a constant temperature of 16°C, with controlled light conditions.
