The 'Marelibero' IGT Marche Bianco Verdicchio is a white wine made from 100% Verdicchio and is also called the Verdicchio of the sea. In fact, the vineyard of this Verdicchio is only 1,000 metres from the Adriatic Sea. The wine is produced on clay soil where the vines' roots take deep root. Marelibero represents the powerful Verdicchio grape: a typical structure and longevity are guaranteed by the soil, which is difficult and softened for the roots.
Thanks to the long cold maceration of the grapes in Ganimede tanks, this strength is fully expressed. Vinification is complemented by fermentation of indigenous yeasts at controlled temperature. The long bâtonnages enrich the identity of the Verdicchio, which thus finds a new dimension of quality, pleasantness and drinkability.
The distinct flavour and saltiness, the typical balsamic character of the Mediterranean are intertwined with white and yellow flowers, citrus fruits, with the clayey soil that reveals itself and gives fullness. Sea wine, artisanal, organic.
