Margherita' Bianco Lazio IGT is a unique orange wine, produced in a very limited edition and made entirely from 100% Malvasia Lunga Toscana. This Malvasia deviates from the classic style and presents itself with a tannic structure and balsamic aromas, giving it a surprising and distinctive character.
The grapes come from a small vineyard of only 0.4 hectares, located at 436 metres altitude on volcanic soils with tuff and sand layers. Harvesting is done manually in the early morning hours, with the grapes carefully selected and taken to the cellar in small crates. Vinification is done with a long maceration on the skins without temperature control, followed by 10 months of aging in glass-fibre tanks. The wine is bottled unaged and unfiltered, preserving the pure expression of the grape and terroir. After this, the wine matures for a further 12 months in bottle.
Margherita is a tribute to Aunt Margherita, wherever she may be. With only 90 bottles a year, this wine is a rare and special creation, perfectly reflecting the essence of craftsmanship and terroir.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
